Escape II
Ma. Catherine B. Bernardo
Lots of us wanted to go away. We want to stay away. We want to leave. We want to run away. We want to escape. But not all of us would.
It sounds so easy to escape. You just have to turn your back and run away. You just have to stay away from those things. You just have to go away from that place. You just have to leave it behind. But as simple as thinking of it, is as hard as doing it.
Life isn't just about what happens to you. It is also about how you respond to it. When something happens, you would respond to it and then, something will happen. It will go on and on. If you're thinking about escaping as a respond, it doesn't mean that you could or you would. Anything could happen. You might try to escape. You might fail. You might do it. But some people won't dare to; and escaping will just be a thought. Their usual reason is conscience.
One of the most powerful things is conscience. It could change things unexpectedly. It could turn things upside down. It is one of the things tied in us that we're so afraid to cut.
Conscience is a great factor in deciding. It's an instinct. Even if you won't think about it, it will just come. It could make people confuse. It could make you think of lots of possibilities. It could make it hard for people to decide what's right or what's better. You can't even tell that conscience is wrong. On arguments, it always has a point.
