Escape II by Ma. Catherine B. Bernardo

Lots of us wanted to go away. We want to stay away. We want to leave. We want to run away. We want to escape. But not all of us would.

It sounds so easy to escape. You just have to turn your back and run away. You just have to stay away from those things. You just have to go away from that place. You just have to leave it behind. But as simple as thinking of it, is as hard as doing it.

Life isn't just about what happens to you. It is also about how you respond to it. When something happens, you would respond to it and then, something will happen. It will go on and on. If you're thinking about escaping as a respond, it doesn't mean that you could or you would. Anything could happen. You might try to escape. You might fail. You might do it. But some people won't dare to; and escaping will just be a thought. Their usual reason is conscience.

One of the most powerful things is conscience. It could change things unexpectedly. It could turn things upside down. It is one of the things tied in us that we're so afraid to cut.

Conscience is a great factor in deciding. It's an instinct. Even if you won't think about it, it will just come. It could make people confuse. It could make you think of lots of possibilities. It could make it hard for people to decide what's right or what's better. You can't even tell that conscience is wrong. On arguments, it always has a point.

Escape I by Ma. Catherine B. Bernardo

Escape I

Every one of us has a place that we admire the most. Each one of us has an ideal place that we want to build a home. We have places that we want to go.

We choose a place for some reasons. Usually it's for vacation, exploration, medication, work, or business. Most of us just wanted to escape.

Lots of  people don't stay where they are. They always find something lacking. Most of them feel like there some things missing. Almost all of them think that they don't belong in where they are. Some of these people wanted freedom and thought that freedom is being away. These people are escaping.

People escape when they can't stand to be in a place where they are. When they can't take the boredom and can't find enjoyment, they go to other places. When they want work and can't find any in their hometown, they apply for work abroad. When there's less opportunity for them, and can't stand being in a place without improving, they go to other places where they think they could find more opportunities. When they can't see any beauty and can't stand the ugliness that they see, they search for beautiful places. When they feel like nobody's there for them or they feel like they're different from the others and stand being alone, they search for a place where they would belong. When a place reminds them of something they wanted to forget, they go away. When they're running away, they search for a hiding place. When they get enough of a place, they search for a new one. When they couldn't see any hope, they'll look for it in other places. People escape when they wanted to get out of a situation and can't find any other way.

There are two reasons why people couldn't find any way out but to escape. I's either they don't want to think about it or they just couldn't think of  any. People wanted to see, hear, feel, or happen what they wanted to. But everything wouldn't happen as people wanted to. In life, everything is connected. Each one of us has our own decisions; and we are affected by each others decisions. Sometimes, when people don't get what they want, they try to do something about it. When they fail, some of them try again and some of them escape. But lots of people give up easily. They wouldn't do anything about it and escape.

The reason why people escape is that they're afraid of the emotions that they're feeling or afraid to feel the emotions they think they would feel when they're in a certain situation. They wanted to escape from loneliness, pain, guilt, madness, hate, frustration, or anything that they don't want to feel. People don't want to be stressed.

Some people escape for awhile and then, go back. Some people escape for good. They might be wrong.  They might be right. But whatever their decisions are, they do it because those are what they think would make them feel better. Whatever others say, whatever happens, wherever they go, they have their choices. People don't always like listening. They might hear. People always learn in experience. So, even if escaping is wrong, they could make it right if they'll learn.
